He was quite cool. The cheif exceutive of Sainsburys was on talking about switching all their bananas over to Fairtrade. I think he hit the nail on the head when he asked what Sainsburys margins were on the bananas. It does make you think about why Fairtrade was introduced – I think the reason was to give producers a fair price for what they were selling rather than being hammered down by big supermarkets.

Anyway despite our best effort we still shop at Sainsburys. I think we are caught up in the catch 22 that I think effects many people like us who would rather not go to the supermarket and do a weekly shop but feel that due to work and money they have to go to a big supermarket.

We do try though!
