My wife had our baby just over 6 weeks ago. Hence why this site may have been a bit quieter than normal. She had a cesarean a bit sooner than we expected and happily we are now proud parents to a baby girl called Lucy.

Trying to keep certain green ideas going we have bought a lot of the baby gear secondhand and my Dad built us some more specialised bits and bobs as Lucy’s room is quite small. We were given lots of clothes too many secondhand but of course many were new too.

We went to Lulworth Cove last weekend and there was a garage sale where a woman was selling of all her children’s old clothes. I thought this was a great idea as babies grow quite quickly and some clothes we have will probably never get worn. I think the lady at Lulworth did quite well as the place was very busy as it was the Easter weekend with lots of families on their Easter Hols.

We are not using reusable nappies but we are using Nature Babycare nappies which is a bit f a half way house. I would still like to use reusable nappies and I am still hoping that I night be able to persuade my wife as Lucy gets a bit older.
