Bananas

Listened to George Monbiot on the radio today talking about Fairtrade bananas at Sainburys. He was quite cool. The cheif exceutive of Sainsburys was on talking about switching all their bananas over to Fairtrade. I think he hit the nail on the head when he asked what Sainsburys margins were on the bananas. It does make you think about why Fairtrade was introduced - I think the reason ...

Fairtrade pledge

I recently made a pledge to buy only Fairtrade chocolate, coffee and tea for the whole of July. I thought it might be difficult as I am partial to the occasional Twix but it hasn't been too difficult.
