If I still lived in London I would be taking part in this. Although London looks amazing a night with all the lights on it would be great to see it for once with them all off. It would interesting to see how much money those big office buildings save on their leccy bills by turning all their lights off for one night. ...

Local Cooling
Not sure how much this is set up to promote uniblue but if makes people more aware of the issue it seems OK. I have installed this at work - probably won't save much as I am using the machine here pretty much all the time and I turn it off when I go home. I am going to install it at home to. I think it ...

Wind Weekend
I'm busy next weekend with various bit and bobs but if you are then why don't you embrace some wind. Wind farms across the country are opening their doors so you can see what makes them tick. There is also a competition where you can win a years supply of electricity by taking a picture of you or your family at a wind farm. I'm sure ideally most people ...

Region in energy waste epidemic
Region in energy waste epidemic – This article really makes you think about leaving stuff on standby! We have been turning most things off when not using them and I am pretty sure this quarters leccy bill has gone done quite significantly. If only people in the North West would do the same!

Save your 20%
Save your 20% – apparently if we all saved 20% of the energy we use it will help prevent climate change – an added benefit of course is that your bill will be reduced as well. This site is quite interesting although the clearskies site that it points you to concerning getting grants for setting up renewable energy seems a bit out of date. It’s quite reassuring to ...

SolarMAX PRO Sunshine Lighting Kit - sunshinesolar.co.uk - I've mentioned a kit like this before but I think this one is the one that I might plump for. It includes a battery which the other one a mentioned didn't all for just over 100 quid. I just need to stop buying bits from my computer and start saving up ...

Good Energy
Good Energy – I should do this although I did try switching supplier once before and it was a nightmare. We started getting bils from two different suppliers – so I tend to approach this kind of thing with caution. I would far rather unplug my house completely and not have to rely on these companies at all.

Human Power Generator MkIII
Human Power Generator MkIII – if it had a saddle, no wheels and had the word excercise in it’s name this thing would be selling like hot cakes. Keep fit and generate power – I have often said that gyms should actually generate their own power from their exercise bikes and treadmills. Perhaps the state could start building human power stations full of these things where people can ...
