Lord of War
– we watched this of the weekend. It’s a very good film – it makes you think about the arms trade. It’s also slightly depressing that the status quo will probably continue due to the biggest arms supplier in the the world the USA.
I think the thing people don’t realise is that it’s not nuclear missiles that are the problem but small arms – things like are AK-47s and rocket propelled grenades – which we seem to see all too much of on the news in places like Iraq or the Sudan. And it seems its the people who just want to get on with their lives that bear the brunt of the problem.
