Frugal Many Uses for Salt – I tried out vinegar on my windows over the weekend and it worked very well. I used 50/50 water and vinegar and used scrunched up newspaper to wipe it off. You can actually see through the windows I tried it on after about a years worth of DIY build up.

I tried out bi-carbonate of soda for cleaning the kitchen as well but that did not work out quite so well – I think I need to do some more research in this area.

This page not only gives uses for salt in cleaning but also for food – not just for taste! I think I will be trying some of these out over the next few weeks!
