Fairtrade pledge
I recently made a pledge to buy only Fairtrade chocolate, coffee and tea for the whole of July. I thought it might be difficult as I am partial to the occasional Twix but it hasn’t been too difficult. We went shopping to Asda and had a bit a problem with the tea but low and behold we found Clipper Earl Grey which is fairtrade and organic. Clipper also has an online shop which seems to sell any kind of tea you could think of as well as hot chocolate and coffee.
In terms of chocolate we recently dicovered Divine which we have bought from both Asda and Sainsburys. According to their site thay also do alot of other chocolaty things including Dubble – it’s for kids!
And then of course there is Green and Blacks probably the most famous fairtrade choccy. My girlfriend loves the Dark chocolate they make – I generally prefer milk chocolate which they do as well. They also do biscuits – I’ll have to look out for them in the shops!
Buying fairtrade is easy to do – it might a bit more expensive but the more people that buy it the cheaper it will become and then companies like Cadburys or Nestle will perhaps wake up and listen!
